Mankato Fire Victim Identified (UPDATED)
Mankato, MN (KROC-AM News) - Firefighters in Mankato responded to a fatal fire yesterday.
The city’s public safety department responded to a single-family home around 11:45 AM and found a fire burning in the living room, which is where they also found the victim. A statement says the flames were confined to the living room.
The Mankato Public Safety Department this afternoon identified the victim as the homeowner, 72-year-old James A. Gacke.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
