
(UPDATE) Austin Mobile Home Fire Victim Identified
(UPDATE) The Austin Fire Department has identified 76-year-old Ricky Lee Hofer as the person who perished in a mobile home fire early today.
Austin, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities are investigating a deadly fire that broke out at a mobile home park in southeast Minnesota.

So far limited information is available.
A news release issued by the Austin Fire Department says firefighters responded to the deadly blaze shortly after 1:30 Wednesday morning.

Minnesota State Fire Marshal's Office Investigating Fatal Blaze at Austin Mobile Home Park
The fatal fire occurred at the Oakland Estates Mobile Home Park, located at 3700 3rd Place SW in Austin.
Officials say one civilian perished in the blaze and another is being treated for injuries they suffered in the deadly fire.
The names of the deceased and injured person are being withheld pending notification of next of kin, the news release says. The Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fatal fire.
No other information is available as of late Wednesday morning.
Officials are reminding the public to have working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors inside of homes to assist with, “early detection aiding in saving lives.”
