
Wanted Man Busted With Meth, Fentanyl & Firearm in Stolen Vehicle Near Rochester Motel
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- Rochester police busted a wanted man with a large quantity of methamphetamine in a stolen vehicle.

A criminal complaint filed in Olmsted County Court on Wednesday morning says the bust and subsequent arrest occurred on Tuesday at a motel in Rochester.
The La Crosse Police Department tipped off Rochester police to the wanted man’s presence in Rochester.
Rochester Police Bust Wanted Man With Fentanyl & Meth at Rochester Motel
30-year-old David Jeremy Atchison is charged with one count each of first-degree drug sales, first-degree drug possession and felony possession of stolen property.

The complaint says Atchison has an active department of corrections warrant. Rochester authorities were told he was believed to be traveling in a stolen SUV while armed.
Officers found the vehicle near the Med City Motel, located in the 400 block of 16th Ave NW and surrounded the vehicle.
Police apprehended Atchison and confirmed the vehicle had been reported stolen, the complaint says.

Atchison told police he had come to Rochester to purchase methamphetamine and said there were multiple ounces of the drug in the vehicle.
He also said he did not believe there were any weapons in the stolen SUV, the charges say.

During a search of the vehicle, law enforcement found 258.4 grams of meth, 1.3 grams of fentanyl, a digital scale with meth residue, a Ruger .22 caliber pistol and miscellaneous rounds of ammunition, the complaint says.
The complaint does not say what Atchison was wanted for. He made his first court appearance Wednesday morning.
