Hastings, MN (MinnesotaNow)- A motorcyclist lost his life in a crash at an intersection along Hwy. 61 Saturday.

An SUV was also involved in the deadly collision. 

The State Patrol responded to the fatality shortly before 12:20 p.m. Neither one of the drivers had passengers.

66-Year-Old Motorcycle Rider Killed in Crash With SUV on Hwy. 61 in Hastings

The fatal collision occurred at the intersection of Hwy. 61 and 12th St. West in Hastings. 

The motorcycle was traveling north on Hwy. 61 and the SUV was westbound on 12th St.

The SUV was crossing the highway when the two collided in the intersection, according to the state crash report. 

Motorcyclist & SUV Driver Identified

66-year-old Gregory Lee Walker of Hastings was identified as the motorcycle rider. The State Patrol says he was pronounced dead at the scene. 

18-year-old Elizabeth Marie Ayala of Cottage Grove was identified as the SUV driver. She was not hurt, the State Patrol said.

Alcohol was not involved in the crash. Walker was not wearing a helmet and Ayala was buckled up, the state crash report says.
