Eagan, MN (MinnesotaNow)- A motorcyclist lost his life in a crash on a Twin Cities freeway.

He was the only person involved in the fatality. The State Patrol responded to the deadly crash shortly after 9:30 Tuesday night.

Twin Cities Man Killed in Crash on I-35E in Eagan

The deadly motorcycle crash occurred on Interstate 35E, south of the Hwy. 77 interchange in Eagan. 

The motorcycle operator was traveling south when he lost control of the motorcycle after driving on gravel and dirt, according to the State Patrol. 

Motorcycle Found in Ditch

The state crash report says the Twin Cities man was thrown from the motorcycle before it came to rest in the left ditch. 

Authorities are describing the motorcycle operator as a 29-year-old man from Burnsville. His name has not yet been released. 

The State Patrol is planning to release more information about the fatal motorcycle crash by Thursday morning.
