
Bicyclist Fatally Struck by Minnesota School Bus
St. Francis, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities in the Twin Cities are investigating a deadly collision involving a bicyclist and a school bus.

So far limited information has been released.
The deadly incident happened shortly before 7:30 Friday morning, a news release issued by the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office says.

Bicyclist Dies After Being Struck by School Bus at Intersection in St. Francis, MN Friday Morning
Authorities say emergency responders were dispatched to the report of a person being hit by a bus at an intersection in St. Francis, which is about 40 miles north of Minneapolis.
The preliminary crash investigation indicates a school bus struck the bicyclist while the driver was making a right-hand turn at an intersection near the St. Francis Area School District office, according to the news release.
Authorities say the male bike rider was pronounced dead at the scene despite life-saving measures. The names of the bicyclist and bus driver have not been released.
Authorities say no one else was riding on the bus at the time of the fatal collision.
The St. Francis Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol, Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office, and Anoka County Sheriff’s Office are conducting the investigation.
