
Fentanyl Seized in Rochester Drug Investigation
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man is expected to be formally charged today in connection with a drug bust conducted by the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office last week.
Drugs and Cash Seized
Sheriff's Capt. Tim Parkin says a search warrant was executed in the 100 block of North Broadway around 10 a.m. on Friday. The search led to the discovery of 20 grams of fentanyl, a small amount of methamphetamine, digital scales, and a large amount of cash.
Detained on Drug Dealing Charges
The operation also led to the arrest of 49-year-old Chad Westby. He was transported to the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center and booked on suspicion of first-degree drug sales, along with second-degree and fifth-degree drug possession charges.
Pending Arraignment
Additional details concerning the drug investigation are expected to be released when he is formally arraigned on the charges in Olmsted County Court later today.
