First ‘Mission: Impossible – Fallout’ Trailer Falls Into the Super Bowl
Ethan Hunt is back, and he’s more limber and energized than ever. After a series of new photos teased by Tom Cruise on social media (oh yeah, Tom Cruise is on Instagram now folks), the first trailer has finally arrived. The full trailer for Mission: Impossible – Fallout dropped during the Super Bowl, which is this big sporting event held in honor of the new Tom Cruise action movie. So kind of all those football players to entertain us before the new trailer arrived!
Well, we thought it would be a full-length trailer, but we’re not exactly disappointed by the 30 second teaser — after all, Paramount did release the actual full trailer online. And that really did not disappoint. Cruise reunites with Rogue Nation director Christopher McQuarrie for the next installment in a series of escalating stunts (which resulted in actual injury this time), featuring Henry Cavill and his now-infamous mustache, the return of Sean Harris as the menacing Solomon Lane, and several other familiar — and friendlier — faces.
The best intentions often come back to haunt you. MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - FALLOUT finds Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his IMF team (Alec Baldwin, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames) along with some familiar allies (Rebecca Ferguson, Michelle Monaghan) in a race against time after a mission gone wrong. Henry Cavill, Angela Bassett, and Vanessa Kirby also join the dynamic cast with filmmaker Christopher McQuarrie returning to the helm.
Mission: Impossible – Fallout also stars Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Michelle Monaghan, Angela Bassett and Wes Bentley, and hits theaters July 27.
