20-year-old Kane Lee Williams is charged with one count of felony fleeing. He was also ticketed for fleeing on foot and obstructing the legal process.
The criminal complaint says Williams was involved in an assault/disorderly conduct incident that was reported shortly after 3 a.m. on Nov. 3 in the 1400 block of 10th Ave. SE.
Responding Rochester police officers were told Williams left in a vehicle but was returning to the scene. Officers in the area of 13 ½ St. and 10th Ave. SE then spotted Williams returning in a vehicle.
Police in the area attempted to stop Williams, but he eventually sped away, according to the court document.
Olmsted County Jail records indicate Williams was arrested early Saturday morning.
Court records allege he tried to escape officers again but was not successful and cited for fleeing police by foot or by other means and obstructing the legal process in the 700 block of North Broadway Ave.
Williams made his first court appearance on Monday and was released without bail. He is due back in court next month.
