Former Dodge County Chief Deputy is New Chief Deputy

Scott Rose took the oath of office Tuesday and became the new Sheriff in Dodge County.

Rose then announced the appointment of Mike Leonhardt as his Chief Deputy. The 26-year year veteran of the Dodge County Sheriff’s Department was the Chief Deputy for five years before he was fired by former Sheriff Jim Jensen a year ago. At the time, Jensen said had concerns about Leonhardt’s loyalty.
