Based on information supplied by a witness, Minneapolis police were able to track a suspect to a nearby apartment unit. The man had barricaded himself inside the residence, prompting police to pull in negotiators, a SWAT team, and the Minneapolis bomb squad.

That led to an extended standoff that was resolved after nearly 6 hours when the 44-year-old suspect was taken into custody without incident.
