Gophers Kick It Off Tonight At Home

Minneapolis, MN (Learfield Sports) -- Tonight is the night Golden Gopher football fans have been waiting for since the end of last season. The season opener is set with a prime time, Thursday night game against second-ranked Texas Christian University.

Minnesota has won three straight lid lifters, including last year's 42-20 win at home over Eastern Illinois.

The Gophers lost to the Horned Frogs in Fort Worth last year, 30-7. Tonight's game begins at 8 P-M with pre-game coverage starting at 7 P-M on News/Talk 1340 KROC AM.
