Rochester , MN (KROC-AM news) - An announcement is expected soon concerning the appointment of a new Olmsted County District Court Judge.

The Minnesota Commission on Judicial Selection recently interviewed the candidates who applied to succeed retiring Judge Debra Jacobson, and identified three finalists, who will be interviewed by Governor Mark Dayton before he makes the appointment. One of the finalists is currently employed as a local prosecutor and another is a former Assistant Olmsted County Attorney.

Lisa Swenson now works as the managing attorney for the Office of the Third Judicial District Public Defender. Eric Woodford now serves as the Chief Deputy in the Olmsted County Attorney’s Office, where he supervises the team of prosecutors and handles a caseload of adult criminal prosecutions. The third finalist is private attorney Jacob Allen, who is with the law firm O’Brien and Wolf.
