Rochester Man Pleads Guilty in Sex Sting Investigation
Olmsted County court records indicate that 44-year-old Brian Charles Tackmann of Rochester has admitted to a felony prostitution charge involving a person reasonably believed to be under the age of 18. He is scheduled to be sentenced in August.

Details of the Rochester Police Undercover Operation
According to the criminal complaint, police investigators posted online ads featuring a female offering sexual acts or services in exchange for money. The ads were placed on websites known to be used by people seeking to purchase sex and instructed interested individuals to message a phone number. The posts also listed specific prices and indicated the customer would have to report to a specific location in Rochester for the transaction.

The court document says the sting investigation involved an undercover "chatter" who messaged individuals responding to the ads while detectives worked to identify the suspects. The charges allege that Tackmann and the three other men charged in the case were told by the "chatter" that she was a teenager under the age of 18.
