The ads, which were set up by Rochester police, were placed on websites known to be used by people seeking to purchase sex and instructed interested individuals to message a phone number, according to the criminal complaint.
The posts also listed specific prices and indicated the customer would have to report to a specific location in Rochester for the transaction, the court document says.

The sting investigation involved an undercover "chatter" who messaged individuals responding to the ads while detectives worked to identify the suspects. The complaint alleges that Tackmann and the three other men charged in the case were told by the "chatter" that she was a teenager under the age of 18.
Tackmann and the others were arrested when they arrived at an agreed upon meeting place, court documents say.
