Austin, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities have issued a request for public assistance to help solve a recent armed robbery reported at a southern Minnesota gas station.
The Austin Police Department issued the request Monday afternoon. The hold-up occurred shortly after 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 7.
Austin Police responded to the armed robbery at a convenience store in the 900 block of 12th St. Southwest.
Police say the suspect brandished a black pistol and demanded money from the clerk saying, “we're all doing our jobs, but I need all the money in the till.”

The suspect is described as a taller teenage male between the ages of 16 and 18. A security camera photo of the robbery shows the suspect dressed in all black and a ski mask covering the majority of his face.
Police are asking anyone with information on the armed robbery to contact Austin Police Investigations at 507-437-9405.
