Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester Police responded to reports of a shooting last night at an apartment complex along North Broadway.

A spokesperson says 911 dispatchers received multiple calls from people who heard a half-dozen or more gunshots near Olympik Village Apartments just after 10 PM. The responding officers searched and found one live round on 31st Street Northeast adjacent to the apartment complex.

A number of people were interviewed as part of the investigation. At this point, police are not aware of any injuries associated with the shooting and do not have any suspects.

The area where the gunfire was reported is only a little over a block from the site where Alexander Weiss shot and killed 17-year-old Muhammed Rahim following a minor traffic crash in January 2018. His second trial on a second-degree murder charge stemming from the fatal shooting is winding down in Olmsted County Court and the case is expected to go to the jury in the first half of next week. Weiss’ first trial ended with a hung jury.
