
Injuries Reported in Head-on Crash With Semi on Minnesota Interstate

Winona, MN (KROC-AM News)- The State Patrol responded to an injury crash determined to have been a head-on collision involving a semi on a Minnesota Interstate on Tuesday.

It happened shortly after 1:10 p.m. Three people were involved in the traffic incident.
Two of them were occupying an SUV that collided head-on with the semi. Snow and ice were present on the freeway at the time of the collision.
SUV & Semi Collided Head-on in Winona County
The crash occurred on Interstate 90 in Winona County about 11 miles east of the Winona exit.

A 20-year-old Colorado Springs man was driving the SUV west on the interstate and the semi was heading east when the vehicles collided head-on, the state crash report says.
The report does not say which vehicle was heading the wrong way.
The conditions of the driver and his passenger, described as a 21-year-old woman from Englewood, Co., have not been disclosed. Their names have not been released.
47-year-old Sean S Aqel of Eagan was identified as the truck driver. He was not hurt.
The State Patrol plans to release more information regarding the head-on crash Wednesday night.
The Winona County Sheriff’s Office, Wilson Fire Department and Tri-County Ambulance also responded to the collision.
