An unusually large buildup of algae in Lake Erie contaminated the water supply for about a half-million people in the greater Toledo area.

The odd thing is, when boiled, it became worse!

Karen Mathison was the President of the United Way of Olmsted County and this past year took over as President and CEO of United Way Toledo.  She talked about how the people, businesses and organizations pulled together during this emergency.
