Human Remains Found in Rice County Farm Field
The RIce County Sheriff's Office issued a news release today revealing the sad news that human remains were found at 4:00 p.m. yesterday, May 7, 2020 in a farm field in Northfield Township.
Sergeant Jeff Mullenmeister says, "A farmer planting beans in his field at the curve on Kane Trail and Lamb Avenue in Northfield Township found the remains of a body in the grassy area separating the farm field."
"Foul play is not suspected," he says, "The remains have been sent to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office for identification. The case remains under investigation by the Sheriff's Office."
There was no gender identified in the news release. Deputies were assisted by the Rice County Coroner's Office.
