Red Wing, MN (KROC-AM News)- A crash in Red Wing sent a southeast Minnesota man to the hospital on Friday night.

The State Patrol responded to the single-vehicle crash around 8:15 p.m. 

The driver was the only vehicle involved and was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol, according to the State Patrol.

Elgin Man Hurt in Single-Vehicle Crash on Hwy. 61 in Red Wing

The crash occurred at the intersection of Hwy. 61 and Cannon Dale Rd. A car traveling northbound on Hwy. 61 when the driver lost control.

The vehicle hit the barrier then came to rest in the median, the state crash report says. 

Driver Identified

29-year-old Jordan Matthew Feirer of Elgin was identified as the driver. He was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol. 

Along with saying alcohol was a suspected factor in the crash, the state crash report also says Feirer was not wearing a seatbelt.

The Red Wing Police Department along with Red Wing Fire and Ambulance also responded to the single-vehicle crash.
