Emergency responders found what is being described as a lightweight experimental aircraft that had been set down in a large retention pond near a residential area. The pilot, who was the lone sole on board, was located and not injured by the plane crash.

Police say there were no other injuries reported. Authorities also say there were no reports of property damage in the crash area.

The pilot’s name has not been released. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.

The crash landing was the second to occur in the northern Twin Cities Metro Saturday. Hours earlier, authorities responded to a plane that had to make an emergency landing on a road in Blaine.

The Puppies of Spotted In Rochester Minnesota

Spotted In Rochester is sometimes filled with negative people knocking everything just to be a troll. Other times, it is filled with awesomeness, like the day I asked for pictures of member pups.

If you shared a picture, but don't see it here (and have the rights to share it), email it to me at james.rabe@townsquaremedia.com. I'll add it to the collection (there's always more room for dogs).
