Washington, DC (KROC AM News) - Most Americans have already received and spent the federal coronavirus stimulus checks that were sent out this year. But there are still several million who have yet to receive one.

Many of them are now being given another chance to get their money.

The IRS earlier set an Oct. 15th deadline to register for the money. That has been extended to Nov. 21st. The extension is only for those who don’t normally file income tax returns.

"Time is running out for those who don't normally file a tax return to get their payments," Rettig added. "Registration is quick and easy, and we urge everyone to share this information to reach as many people before the deadline."

The IRS is urging those who haven’t registered for the stimulus funds to use its Non-Filers tool. Typically, this includes people who receive little or no income.

It’s designed for people with incomes typically below $24,400 for married couples, and $12,200 for singles who could not be claimed as a dependent by someone else. This includes couples and individuals who are experiencing homelessness.
