Hastings, MN (KROC-AM News)- A motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a car Thursday afternoon.

Authorities indicate the deadly collision was head-on. The drivers were the only people involved in the fatality.
The State Patrol responded to the fatal crash in Dakota County shortly before 4:30 p.m.

45-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed in Head-on Crash With Car on Hwy. 316 Near Hastings
The car and motorcycle collided at the intersection of Hwy. 316 and Red Wing Blvd., which is about 10 miles southeast of Hastings.
The motorcycle was heading north on Hwy. 316 and the car was southbound on the two-lane highway, according to the State Patrol.

30-year-old Alexandra Marie Eggert of Hastings was driving the car. The State Patrol says she was not hurt.
Officials say a 45-year-old woman from Cottage Grove was riding the motorcycle. The State Patrol plans to release her name and more information regarding her death on Friday evening.
