Rochester’s Townies Philly Kitchen & Bar Reopening Friday After HVAC Repairs
When the kitchen staff walk out and quit due to temps reaching 100-degrees, a restaurant halts to an abrupt stop. On Monday, that is what happened at Townies Philly Kitchen & Bar in Rochester after continuous HVAC issues led to a temporary closure.
After a few days of multiple videos being posted by Townies with updates, a few e-mails from the City of Rochester communications team regarding statements on the situation, and an open letter posted on social media, a bit of good news has surfaced for this local restaurant in Rochester.
After A Temporary Closure Due to HVAC Issues, Townies Philly Kitchen & Bar Announces That They Are Reopening
Looks like we finally have some closure on a situation that was made very public in Rochester. Townies, a restaurant in Rochester, announced on Monday that a temporary closure was necessary due to HVAC issues not being fixed by the landlord of their building, the City of Rochester.
A statement was shared by the communications team in Rochester with a response to the HVAC issues and the initial video that was posted.
Not seeing any progress on re-opening or getting the HVAC issues resolved, an open letter was shared by Townies that refuted some of the statements shared by the City of Rochester.
After all of this back-and-forth, a bit of good news has popped up for this local business that had to stop all sales for a few days. Below is the latest that was shared on the Townies Philly Kitchen & Bar Facebook Page:
"We're back tomorrow, yeah, baby!"
If you watch the video, there was some screaming and cheering involved...and that is hard to duplicate in text...but if you want to hear the joy and excitement, you can watch the full video here.
