Minnesota Discount Store Closing Due to Owner’s Health Struggles

"It is with heavy heart that we are announcing the permanent closing of our business." That sad announcement was posted to social media along with a note thanking customers for their support over the last five-and-a-half years.

The popular discount store shared the news on Facebook on Monday, stating that everything must go. The store is currently in the process of closing, and they've kicked off a sale with even more markdowns on their items.

Why Is Discount Warehouse Closing?

A post on the store's Facebook explains a serious illness is the reason they are closing.

"Sadly one of the owners who has managed the day-to-day operations of the business since opening has been diagnosed with a rare terminal disease and can no longer work so wishes to now retire to enjoy what life has to offer."

The post also explained how staffing issues would prevent them from remaining open.

"Unfortunately we also consistently have issues finding enough proper staff to work and with that, we would be unable to maintain store operations."

Store Closing Sale Has Started And Everything Must Go

Discount Warehouse is located in Rochester's Apache Mall and will close once everything is gone or by the end of February.
