Which professions do men and women in Minnesota think are most attractive in a romantic partner? A new survey has the answers.

Thanks to the miracle of modern science, we now know just which jobs women and men here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes found most attractive-- and it's good news for the largest private employer here in the Bold North.

When it comes to picking a profession, most Minnesotans are likely looking for a vocation they're interested in, one that comes with plenty of employment opportunities and one that pays a decent salary, right?

But what about finding a job or profession the opposite (or same) sex thinks is attractive in a romantic? There ARE some jobs that are much more attractive to the men and women who call the North Star State home. And, as it turns out, they're not the same.

The most recent survey from jobs/career site, Zippia, compiled a list of the jobs that Minnesota women and men find most attractive. Zippia said they "surveyed 1,000 workers to find out what jobs they think are the hottest…and which they think are just plain not," the site said.

The results? While women and men in the Gopher State have very different ideas about what jobs they want in a romantic partner, it's generally pretty good news for 385,000 Minnesotans who work in the healthcare field, according to the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). That includes the 41,000 folks who work at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, the largest private employer in the state.

A healthcare job in Minnesota generally pays fairly well, too, with the DLI noting that hospitals across the state have an average salary of $79,802. Those jobs also look good to the opposite (or same) sex, as well, seeing as doctors and nurses are in the top five most attractive jobs for both women and men in Minnesota, according to the survey.
