Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man ended up at St. Marys Hospital Wednesday after being beaten by two men after one of them accused the victim of “messing around with his girlfriend.”
Police Capt. John Sherwin says the assault happened inside the victim’s residence at the Oak Terrace mobile home park.
The 36-year-old victim says the two men - identified as 29-year-old Fidencio Ortiz and his 32-year-old brother Elias Ortiz - knocked him to the floor and began punching and kicking him until he was knocked out. After the brothers left, a woman who was there called 911 and an ambulance took the victim to the hospital.
The brothers were later apprehended and are expected to face felony assault charges.
