MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A Minnesota judge has reversed an order that temporarily freed a man accused of trying to travel to Syria to join the Islamic State group.

Abdullahi Yusuf was arrested last week, six months after FBI agents stopped him at the Minneapolis airport as he prepared to leave the United States. He's charged with conspiracy to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization.

A magistrate judge last week released Yusuf to his parents after his attorney pointed out he hadn't fled while he was being investigated.

But federal prosecutors argue Yusuf deceived his parents before and was likely to try it again.

Chief U.S. District Judge Michael Davis granted their request Wednesday. Davis said he couldn't envision any bail conditions that would ensure Yusuf appears for future court dates.
