JUST IN! Kwik Trip Once Again Named One of the Best Gas Stations in US

If there was a place that you'd say you are a superfan of, what would it be?  For me, there is one specific location that has grown on me while living in Minnesota.  It has saved me tons of money, has made my life a lot easier since it is super convenient, and the employees make me feel like they really love having me there since they always want to see me again.

Sounds like the place I'm a superfan of has a few more fans too because this Wisconsin-based store was just named one of the best in the entire country by USA Today!

Tesla people, I'm not sure where you go to grab a cup of coffee or a snack while you are on a road trip but for the rest of the world that isn't electric, hitting up a gas station is what we do.  There are service centers on tollways to make it easy, gas stations are sprinkled throughout cities and highly populated near off-ramps.

With all of the gas stations in our world, which one is the best?  This past year, I've made the long trip to Wichita, Kansas five times and I can say very confidently that I know my answer.  According to the latest announcement by USA Today of the 10 Best Gas Station Brands In The US, it sounds like the place I'm a superfan of is a pretty popular pick.

#10 - Buc-ee's - If you haven't been to a Buc-ee's, you should mentally prepare for this experience because it is NOT just a gas station.  You could buy outfits here, lunch, fudge, gasoline, snacks, or something extremely random that you have no clue why it is for sale, but it made you smile.

Buc-ee's are found throughout the South and are a destination spot you must see at least once.

#9 - QuikTrip - Sometimes these brands are nicknamed QT, but the short name isn't the reason why people love this gas station.  You can enjoy soft-serve ice cream, made-to-order food and it sounds like the snacks are just what travelers are looking for too.

#8 - TravelCenters of America - whatever you might need while you are traveling, you can stop at a TravelCenters of America and probably find it.  They've got fast food restaurants, fuel, groceries, snacks, electronics, clothing, and quite a bit more at their 270+ full-service locations throughout the country.

#7 - Rutter's - what started off as a dairy farm back in 1921 is now one of the most popular gas stations in the United States.  Rutter's features an amazing food menu that is extremely extensive and includes the normal burgers, sandwiches, and pizza but even serves fried seafood.

#6 - Maverik - if you love the great outdoors, hiking, camping, and just being in nature, Maverik might be the gas station you didn't know you loved.  According to the top 10 list, this gas station is like an outdoor adventure store that also has amazing food.  Last year, it was ranked #5 and fell just slightly in the ranking this time.

#5 - RaceTrac - did someone say coffee?  RaceTrac has a slogan of "Whatever Gets You Going" and while they've got freshly brewed coffee to perk you up, they also have friendly service and gas prices that aren't just affordable, they are competitive.  Last year, RaceTrac was ranked #3 on the list.

#4 - Royal Farms - clean bathrooms are a priority for many and Royal Farms is on the top 10 list because of that feature.  They've built over 200 locations in six different states and are a huge favorite for the facilities and the variety of snacks.  Next time you are in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, or West Virginia, you'll need to check it out.

#3 - Casey's - Growing up in Iowa, Casey's was all I knew...and mostly because of the cake donuts and pizza.  You can now find Casey's in several states and enjoy a selection of food made right there in the store.

#2 - Hy-Vee - Minnesota is one of eight states starting to see more of the Hy-Vee gas stations popping up.  You can enjoy fresh coffee, a variety of food and snack options, and great customer service.

#1 - Kwik Trip is on the map once again as the best gas station is the entire U.S!  This is year #5 for taking home this trophy.  Right now, the only states that enjoy this amazing gas station are Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan, South Dakota, and Illinois.  Over 800 stores are part of the Kwik Trip name and a few of the reasons why they are amazing are the bakeries, locally sourced milk, and of course, the clean bathrooms.

Well-deserved Congratulations to Wisconsin-Based Kwik Trip

Having a daughter that lives not far from the Kwik Trip headquarters in La Crosse, Wisconsin has led to many text messages saying, "Mom, did you know Kwik Trip has _____?".  From all the normal items you sell in the stores to stickers, socks, sweaters, and now tennis shoes, you are all staying very busy over there and this #1 honor is well-deserved.  Huge congrats to you, Kwik Trip!

Now, I just need to cross something off on my bucket-list with you...I want an invite to media day!
