Olmsted County Adult Detention Center records indicate he was booked into the jail Tuesday afternoon. He was arranged on charges stemming from the alleged pursuits on Wednesday.

The criminal complaints filed against 24-year-old Noah Alexander Doherty say he fled officers on August 4 and fled again on August 20. Charges filed in connection to the August 4 incident say he fled officers at a high rate of speed when they attempted to pull him over on 15th Ave. in southeast Rochester after seeing the motorcycle he was driving did not have a license plate on its back end.

The officers declined to pursue but were able to identify Doherty as the motorcyclist. One of the officers involved in the August 4 pursuit saw the same motorcycle run a red light at the intersection North Broadway Ave. and Silver Lake Dr. on August 20, the charges say.

The officer temporarily lost sight of the motorcycle before finding it again in the area of 11th St. and 4th Ave. Northwest, The charges say Doherty looked back when the officer activated his emergency lights, flipped him off then fled at a high rate of speed.

The officer declined to pursue but continued following the motorcycle, which was seen running red lights at the intersections of 4th Ave. and 7th St. Northwest, and at 4th Ave. and Civic Center Dr. Northwest. Doherty’s driving conduct caused other motorists to hit their breaks as he was weaving in and out of traffic, the complaint says. Court documents say his driving license is revoked and that he does not have motorcycle endorsement.

A judge set his bail at $20,000 without conditions. Court records indicate the alleged pursuits occurred while Doherty was serving a stayed prison sentence for convictions of felony fleeing and felony property damage in Goodhue County

He’s due back in court for both fleeing cases in September.
