Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Downtown Rochester commuters will notice significant progress on a major road project when they return to work on Monday.

Crews were busy Saturday pouring concrete for the driving lanes on a section of 4th Street Southwest that’s been closed to traffic since early July. The cement was put down between 1st and 3rd Avenues and a portion of 3rd Avenue. 4th Street is being reconstructed all the way west to 6th Avenue, which leaves quite a bit of work to be completed during the next month as crews strive to complete the project this fall.
