Police Captain Casey Moilanen said the parents of a 22-year-old woman requested a welfare check after not hearing from their daughter since November 3. The woman also had not posted on social media.

Police say she was living with her 38-year-old boyfriend, who had not been heard from since November 4. Officers then performed a welfare check at the apartment in northwest Rochester and discovered the bodies of the man and woman around 7:45 p.m. Sunday, Moilanen said.

Responding officers did not observe apparent signs of trauma but did see evidence of drug use, according to Moilanen. Investigators have ordered an autopsy to determine the cause of death and have not released the identities of the man and woman.
