Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A man described by Rochester police as homeless was arrested Tuesday for threatening to kill a local prominent businessman.

Police became aware of the threat made by 58-year-old Christopher Caffes on Monday.

A downtown business owner reported Caffes had come into her store and during a conversation made a comment about “sticking his knife into the back” of the businessman. The woman says Caffes even showed her the knife. After he left, she called police. Officers then talked to the businessman, who knows Caffes and said they had a troublesome relationship.

Caffes was located Tuesday afternoon after being caught trespassing at the downtown Holiday Inn. Officers found a six inch knife in his backpack.
