Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - There was some excitement in Rochester’s John Adams neighborhood Tuesday evening.

Police officers rushed to a residence in the 3500 block of 15th Ave NW around 7:30 after a man called to report he was shooting at people inside his home.

The man met the officers when they arrived and they soon determined there was no one else in the home and that he was suffering from mental health issues. A spokesman says the man had fired one round inside the home and the officers recovered a 9mm handgun.

The home was described as “uninhabitable.”
