EDINA, Minn. (AP) — A man is injured after a police-involved shooting in Edina.

Jennifer Bennerotte, the city's communications director, tells the Star Tribune  the shooting happened after police responded to a request for a welfare check on the man. He was reportedly was acting in a threatening manner at about 10:15 a.m. Saturday.

She says the man displayed a weapon and shots were fired inside a condo unit at about 10:30 a.m.

The man was in critical condition Saturday at Hennepin County Medical Center. No officers were hurt.

Authorities have not identified the suspect or the officers involved.

The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office is investigating at the request of Edina police.
