The state crash report says a minivan, driven by 57-year-old Kelly Chicoine, was heading east on the freeway when the vehicle left the road and rolled into the ditch. He was brought to the hospital in Winona for treatment of what are described as non-life-threatening injuries.

Chicoine was buckled and not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash, the report says. The State Patrol says snow and ice were present on the road.

The Winona County Sheriff’s Office, Lewiston Police Department, Lewiston Fire Department and Lewiston EMS also responded to the single-vehicle crash.
