Lakeville, MN (KROC-AM News) - A man was shot to death early this morning in the parking lot of the Amazon Fulfillment Center in Lakeville.

A news release issued by the Lakeville Police Department says officers were sent to the Amazon facility about 4 AM Saturday and found an adult man in the parking lot with a suspected gunshot wound. Officers, along with other emergency responders, attempted lifesaving measures but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Lakeville police say a 24-year-old man was found near the victim and was taken into custody. The news release says it appears a fatal shooting resulted from an altercation between the two men.

Investigators are currently working to determine their relationship to each other, what led to the deadly altercation, and their connection to the Amazon Fulfillment Center. Officials say a firearm was recovered at the scene.

The name of the victim and the suspect have not been released.
