Mark Your Calendar: Here’s the Official First Day of Spring 2025
I have a bone to pick with someone. You will know who you are in a moment because YOU are the reason that Minnesota got dumped on with our 3rd winter. You decided that because we were feeling 50 degree temperatures that it was time to put your snow shovel away. We all know what happened next...
On Tuesday, March 4th, the Southern part of Minnesota started to shut down. First, we had rain, and then, that wet precipitation turned into snow and started blowing around so fast that it caused our roads to close because of blizzard conditions.
YOU - the one who put your snow shovel away - don't EVER do that again. You caused Winter to get mad and throw a temper tantrum in Minnesota.
But I glanced at my Google calendar and noticed a few pieces of good news on the horizon. These made me smile. I think they will make you smile too.

Why Does The First Day of Spring Change Each Year?
According to CBSNews.com, the first day of spring typically happens on March 19th, 20th, or 21st.
The time it takes Earth to travel around the sun is 365.24. Because our calendar is 365 days (not 365.24), that is the reason the first day of spring might show up on different days.
