Mayo Clinic Opens New Clinic Inside Rochester School
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Governor Tim Walz and Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Rochester this afternoon.
The two top state officials joined in a roundtable discussion just prior to the event celebrating the opening of a new health clinic at the Alternative Learning Center in Rochester. Mayo Clinic Student Health Services is a joint effort of the Rochester School District and the Mayo Clinic and will provide acute and chronic medical care to students between the ages of 13 and 20 and their dependents between the ages of six weeks and 33 months.
The clinic features two exam rooms, a lab room, and a reception area. The Alternative Learning Center also employees a full-time clinic coordinator to assist in operating the facility and managing the daily flow of students.
