Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The second phase of a Rochester man’s murder trial is underway at the Olmsted County Courthouse.

The members of an Olmsted County Jury found 55-year-old Glenn Johnson guilty of first-degree murder for the stabbing deaths of two men at the Castleview Apartments in downtown Rochester. 57-year-old Philip Hicks and 45-year-old Eric Flemmings were neighbors of Johnson and police say the three men had been involved in previous confrontations prior to the double homicide on St. Patrick’s Day in 2018. The jury got the case late yesterday afternoon and reached the guilty verdict last night.

The jury is now hearing testimony regarding Johnson’s mental state, particularly at the time of the double-murder. His attorney is asking the panel to find him not guilty by reason of mental illness.
