Law enforcement found the suspected drugs and drug sale evidence after executing a search warrant in Rochester last September. The criminal complaint was filed in Olmsted County Court Friday.
Members of the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office executed a knock-and-announce search warrant at a home in the 1300 block of 4th St. Northeast on September 12.
Deputies breached the door after not getting an answer 45 seconds after knocking, the charges say.
Once inside law enforcement encountered a man changing. He directed them to the basement of the home where investigators encountered 37-year-old Megan Ann Marek of Rochester, according to the criminal complaint.
The warrant was for the home and Marek’s person. The search of the home led to the discovery of 76.8 grams of suspected methamphetamine and a digital scale, the court document says.
Marek admitted to selling meth and using it daily, the charges say.
Marek was charged Friday with one count of first-degree drug sales and a count of first-degree drug possession. She’s due to make her first court appearance in the case next month.
