Minnesota Authorities Seek Vehicle That Hit Pedestrian Then Fled
South St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities in the Twin Cities are looking for the driver of a vehicle that struck a pedestrian then fled the scene.
The traffic incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. Law enforcement did not share a description of the suspect vehicle.
A news release issued by the South St. Paul Police Department says first responders were dispatched to the report of a man lying in the street near the intersection of Concord St. and Richmond St.
Upon arrival officers found an adult male in the street suffering from what are described as significant injuries consistent with being hit by a vehicle. Paramedics rendered aid to the man and he was taken to a nearby hospital for further care.
An update on his condition is not available as of Sunday morning. The victim’s name has not been released.
The Minnesota State Patrol responded to the scene to conduct an accident reconstruction. The investigation is ongoing.
