North St Paul (KROC AM News) - A well-known businessman who was born in the small southeast Minnesota town of LeRoy and went on to build a school bus and banking empire has died.

The family of Donald Regan says he died at his home in North St Paul Oct. 23rd at the age of 91.

His obit says Regan recently contracted COVID-19 but “he steadfastly chose to remain at home.”

Regan’s father was killed in a hunting accident when he was 3-years-old and he began working various jobs at age 12. He became the country’s youngest Ford dealer at the age of 21. He also began a school bus service in LeRoy and later set up an operation in North St Paul where he spent the rest of his life.

He later ventured into the banking business and eventually launched Premier Bank, which has four sites in Rochester. Its combined assets are among the top ten banks in Minnesota.
