Her parents named her brother Josh. They named her Happy Thanksgiving. The woman describes her parents as "hardcore hippies" and says they didn't have a name picked out as her due date approached so they let the universe decide her name.

Today Happy Thanksgiving-Reynolds is a doctor in Minneapolis. She uses her name to patients at ease. Reynolds told today.com, “I work in family medicine and deal with a lot of kids, so I think it almost sets people at ease, and I am super comfortable with where I come from. I think patients are like, 'Your name is Happy Thanksgiving, so clearly whatever I tell you in this office visit is not going to be that crazy for you.’
