Minnesota Exports Rise 2% In First Quarter

Minnesota exports were up two-percent in the first quarter of this year as the value of the products shipped to other countries reached $5 billion dollars.

The state Department of Employment and Economic Development says shipments of manufactured goods were up 4.4-percent and overall exports rose over 20-percent in 5 of the states top 10 markets.

Exports to Mexico were up most 50-percent when compared to the same three-month period last year.
