  • Malik Johnson engaged in sexual contact against an unknown, mentally disabled, female victim. Contact included touch. Malik approached the victim as she sat waiting in a vehicle. He took advantage of the victim's confusion and fear to maintain control.
  • Johnson has been convicted of Criminal Sexual Conduct or another offense that requires registration with law enforcement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 243.166 or 243.167.
  • This individual has served the sentence imposed on them by the court and is transitioning into the community.
  • The Rochester Police Department may not direct where this individual does or does not reside, nor can this agency direct where he/she works or
    goes to school.

That last note is, I suspect, to let you know ahead of time you can call the police department to complain, ask that he be moved elsewhere, etc, but Johnson has served his time and so is not under the control of local police.

If you have any questions, call the Rochester Police at 507-328-6800 or tap/click Rochester Minnesota Police Department

If you think the laws should be changed, please call your representative in the Minnesota House and/or Minnesota State Senate, and in the name of all that's holy, don't yell at each other in social media comments. No one there is in charge.

As always, if you have a comment, complaint, or concern about something I wrote here, please let me know: james.rabe@townsquaremedia.com

And it reminded me to share the How To Eat A Cupcake story.

Super Life Hack: Eating A Cupcake Without Getting Frosting On Your Hands and Face

Eating a cupcake seems like a simple process. As a kid, from the moment you had one in your hand, you knew to peel off the paper cup and jam it in your mouth. Which is fine when you're three and someone else has to endure the sticky.

Now YOU'RE the one dealing with the sticky mess...and fortunately, I'm sharing a trick I learned from an Idaho Youth Librarian. Scroll thru the gallery and you'll learn the no fuss no muss way of eating cupcakes in 5 easy steps.
