Minnesota Man Airlifted to Hospital After Water Skiing Crash
Remer, MN (KROC-AM News) - A man was airlifted to a hospital in the Twin Cities with serious injuries following a water skiing mishap in northern Minnesota on Friday.
The Cass County Sheriff's Office is reporting the 24-year-old man from Chaska was water skiing behind a boat on Long Lake when he lost control while crossing the boat's wake. He ended up falling into the water and struck his head.
The report on the incident indicates he was unconscious when friends and family members pulled him into the boat, where CPR was performed while they were returning to shore. Once he was back on land, Cass County Deputies assisted with CPR and a heart pulse was detected before the man was loaded into the North Memorial AirCare helicopter.
The man's name has not been released, and current information about his condition is not available at this time.
