Shevlin, MN (Learfield News Service) -  Authorities in north-central Minnesota are investigating a deadly fire in the city of Shevlin.

The Clearwater County Sheriff's Office says firefighters were called to a burning home Thursday night.

Crews discovered the body of the 36-year-old Michael Norgaard was inside. Investigators say Norgaard discovered the home full of smoke, called his sister and told her to call 911 because he was going inside to get his dogs out. Foul play is not suspected. The State Fire Marshal's Office is assisting Clearwater County with the investigation into the cause.
