Minnesota Marine Missing After Helicopter Crash
Honolulu, HI (Learfield Wire Services) - A Twin Cities family is anxiously awaiting news from Hawaii as the search for survivors of an apparent military training accident continues off the coast of Oahu.
One of the 12 Marines who were aboard two helicopters that collided and crashed into the Pacific Ocean late Thursday night was a native of Buffalo Minnesota. 24-year-old Sergeant Dillon Semolina was a graduate of Delano High School. Reports indicate his family now lives in Bloomington.
A Go Fund Me page has been set up to benefit Sergeant Semolina's family in order to allow his parents to travel to Hawaii while they wait to learn the fate of their son so they can be close by in the event he survived, or his body is recovered from the ocean.
